Sketchfab to FiveM in one click

Search Sketchfab from inside the prop editor, click a model to import it, then export a drop-in FiveM resource. No downloading, unzipping or format juggling on your end.

How the built-in browser works

  1. In the Prop Creator, hit Lookup online models.
  2. Search by keyword and sort by relevance, likes, views or recency. Only downloadable models are listed, and each card shows its licence.
  3. Click a model — it imports straight into the editor as a new session, textures included, auto-scaled to a sensible real-world size.
  4. Set collision and LODs, then export the drop-in zip.
Imports are cached per model, so re-opening one you already used is instant and does not re-download.

Licences matter — read the badge

Sketchfab models carry real licences. Most downloadable ones are Creative Commons and require attribution; some prohibit commercial use entirely. Your export includes a CREDITS.txt with the model name, author, licence and source URL so you can comply.

You are responsible for the source model's rights. Do not put a non-commercial or ripped model on a paid server. Ripped game assets are also a Cfx.re rule violation regardless of what any converter lets you do.

What to look for in a model

Prefer models with baked textures and a sane triangle count. Very high-poly scans work but will need decimating — the editor has a live mesh-detail slider so you can see the silhouette hold while you reduce. Watch out for spec-gloss materials from older uploads; those are converted to metal-rough automatically so the textures actually show up.

FAQ

Can I use Sketchfab models on my FiveM server?

Only if the licence allows it. Most downloadable models are Creative Commons and require attribution; some ban commercial use. Your export ships a CREDITS.txt with the author, licence and source URL.

Do I have to download the model myself?

No. The browser is built into the prop editor — search, click, and it imports directly with its textures.

What if the model is too detailed for FiveM?

Use the mesh-detail slider. It runs a quadric-error simplifier live in the browser so you can watch the silhouette while reducing the triangle count.

Why do some models import without textures?

Older Sketchfab uploads use spec-gloss materials that modern viewers dropped. Those are converted to metal-rough on import so the textures load correctly.
